andrewmangle.com is operated by Best Entrust, LLC, an independent limited liability company. The Mangle Metric program is a privately operated career readiness platform. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or operated on behalf of Bowie State University or any other educational institution or employer.

Dr. Andrew Mangle is the founder of Best Entrust, LLC and the creator of the Mangle Metric. Any activities conducted through this website are conducted in his capacity as founder of Best Entrust, LLC — not as a representative of any academic institution.

What We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the assessment, and basic technical information from your browser.

Information You Provide Directly

Information Generated Automatically

When you visit andrewmangle.com, standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time of visit. This information is used for security and site performance only and is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies

This website uses minimal cookies necessary for basic functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. Third-party services embedded in this site (such as Calendly and Formspree) may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide for the following purposes:

• Delivering your Mangle Metric score — your assessment answers are used to calculate your preliminary score and generate your dimension breakdown immediately upon completion.
• Providing your reviewed score — your submission, including resume and portfolio links, is reviewed by Dr. Mangle's team within 48 hours to produce a verified, reviewed score sent to your email address.
• Monthly check-in and coaching communications — with your consent at the time of submission, we will contact you monthly to support your score improvement progress.
• Platform improvement — aggregated, anonymized score data is used to calibrate the assessment, identify patterns across student cohorts, and improve the Mangle Metric framework.
• Content production — if you have signed a separate Participant Release Agreement, your name, image, score, and interview content may be used in Mangle Metric content as authorized by that agreement.
• Processing payments — payment information is handled directly by Stripe and is not stored on our systems.
• Responding to inquiries — contact information is used to respond to your questions and scheduling requests.

What We Do Not Share

We will never share your personal information in the following ways:

• We will not sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party.
• We will not share your individual score or assessment results with employers without your explicit, separate written consent.
• We will not share your contact information with employer partners without your explicit consent.
• We will not share your information with Bowie State University or any other academic institution in connection with this program.
• We will not use your information to make automated decisions that affect your employment, admissions, or any other consequential outcome without human review.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Best Entrust, LLC, our users, or the public.

Employer Access & Student Data

The Mangle Metric connects high-performing students with employer partners. This section explains exactly how that works with respect to your data.

What Employers Can See — Only With Your Consent

Your individual score, profile, and contact information will never be shared with employer partners without your explicit, affirmative consent. If you reach the Hire threshold (90+) or otherwise qualify for employer network visibility, you will be contacted separately and asked to opt in before any of your information is made visible to employer partners.

Aggregated Data

Employer partners may receive aggregated, anonymized data about the student population — for example, average scores by field of study or common gap dimensions — for the purpose of demonstrating platform quality. This data cannot be used to identify individual students.

Your Control

You may opt out of employer visibility at any time by contacting us at submissions@andrewmangle.com. Opting out does not affect your access to the free assessment, your score, or your coaching communications.

Third-Party Services

This website uses the following third-party services. Each is governed by its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services and encourage you to review their policies before providing information directly to them.

Data Retention

We retain your assessment data and contact information for as long as you are an active participant in the Mangle Metric program — defined as having received a score within the past 24 months or having opted into monthly check-in communications.

If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your personally identifiable information from our active records within 30 days of your request. Anonymized, aggregated data derived from your assessment may be retained for platform research and improvement purposes and cannot be used to identify you.

Payment records are retained by Stripe according to their data retention policies and applicable tax law requirements.

Your Rights

Regardless of where you are located, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

• Access — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction — you may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion — you may request that we delete your personal information from our records.
• Opt-out of communications — you may unsubscribe from monthly check-in emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
• Opt-out of employer visibility — you may withdraw consent for your profile to be visible to employer partners at any time.
• Portability — you may request your assessment data in a readable format.

Minors

The Mangle Metric assessment and this website are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent.

If you are under 18 and wish to participate in the Mangle Metric program, a parent or legal guardian must review and consent to this Privacy Policy and any applicable Participant Release Agreement before you submit any information.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a minor without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly. Contact us at submissions@andrewmangle.com if you believe this has occurred.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Mangle Metric platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active participants by email.
